Privacy Policy
Thank you for showing an interest in The Road to Mastery. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to share with you our policy concerning your privacy and any personal data which can be used to identify you. We don’t like to be tracked, forced to give away personal information unnecessarily or sent spam emails. However, we do like a high level of service and a personal touch, ourselves, so we extend the same courtesy to all of our customers. We’ll only contact you if we genuinely believe that you’ll appreciate it or if we have a legitimate reason to do so.
We’ve kept this policy as short as possible and avoided complex jargons to make things as easy as possible for you.
How do we obtain your personal information?
You may give us your information when you contact us to ask about our activities or purchase products and services from us. You may also give us your personal information directly in person, via phone, email, or otherwise. Under rare circumstances, we may contact you if somebody else has given us your details and made it clear that you are likely to be interested in what we offer.
In the event that a product or service is purchased on your behalf (e.g. as a gift) we will only hold basic contact information including name, phone number and/or email address if this is supplied on your behalf. This data will only be held as long as is necessary to provide you with the product or service and, in some cases, to request feedback on your experiences.
What information do we collect?
Personal Information
Personal information is any information that can be used to identify you. For example, it can include information such as your name, email address, vehicle registration, date of birth, postal address, telephone number and credit/debit card details, as well as information relating to your personal circumstances, if provided.
We do not knowingly collect any personal information from a child without the consent of the child’s parent(s). Children under the age of 16 should obtain parental consent before providing personal data or purchasing something offered on our website.
Due to the nature of the products and services which we offer, it is usually appropriate to ask you for the contact details of a next of kin. Their details will be limited and only used in the case of emergency.
Additional Information
Due to the nature of our business, we require additional information such as what car(s) you own or will bring on our events, whether or not a car that you will bring is taxed and insured and facts relating to your driving licence or other driving qualifications. Much of this information is not stored, but a simple note is kept with a date (where appropriate) to remind us to check with you if you have renewed driving and vehicle-related documents or annual requirements. As an example, should you supply us with a copy of a motor insurance certificate via email, we would mark that you hold relevant insurance and the expiry date for our records and then delete the email and attachment. The certificate would not be stored.
How do we use your information?
We will use your data to provide information via phone or email concerning our products and services when requested. Some of your information is used or requested to book specific events forming part of your annual package. We will also provide updates on exclusive Drivers’ Club events where relevant.
In the event of international travel, we may request personal information in order to complete or administer travel bookings. This will be done with your consent in advance.
Postal address
We use your postal address for formal invoicing if this has been supplied and to understand where our customers are based, geographically. This helps us ensure we offer events in the most convenient locations where there is optionality. We will also require your postal address to send you any physical items or documentation where appropriate.
Email address
We will send you emails for administrative purposes as well as when you have requested information about or when booking, purchasing or amending orders for our products and services. We will contact you to invite you to Drivers’ Club events which may interest you. Under rare circumstances we may contact you if we believe or have been led to believe that you are likely to be interested in our products and services.
Telephone number
We will use your telephone number to respond to enquiries, to provide you with information when requested, for administrative purposes regarding booking or amending orders for our products and services and for periodic contact with Current Customers. We may also contact you by telephone as an alternative to email and in emergencies.
Do we share your information?
With the exceptions of where required by hotels and to arrange shipping of physical items to you, no, we do not share your personal information with any third party. We value our own privacy and assure discretion regarding yours. It is our policy not to sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. In the very unlikely event that we choose to change this aspect of our Privacy Policy, you will be given the option to remove your Personal Information from our database before the change takes effect.
The only exception to the above concerns specific circumstances where we honestly believe that you will be interested in a product or service offered by a third party (likely an event partner) and make a formal or informal introduction between you and the third party after your consent.
How we store your information
The Road to Mastery stores information relating to individuals in a password-protected offline database. Periodically, this is backed-up in offline storage. No personal information is stored on additional computers, phones or external hard drives unless necessary for us to carry out our business in an appropriate fashion. Examples may include a phone number or email address made available for a driver coach to arrange meeting location and time with a customer they will be working with or for emergencies.
Accessing and updating your personal information
You can request access to any information we hold about you by contacting us. Equally, please let us know of any changes to your personal information where you feel this is appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may change our Privacy Policy from time to time so please check back periodically.
